Young People Discussed RA Integration Processes

Development of the RA integration processes, the policy of not contradicting European and Eurasian directions and the RA interest in that context were discussed during another meeting in the framework “Youth Platform” project.  

On November 29 an expert of “Insight” Analytical Center for Applied Policy and Research Anna Karapetyan had a lecture on the topic “The Principle of Not Contradicting RA Integration Processes (European and Eurasian integration), Our Expectations from Both Processes.”

The issues like RA European integration, its development dynamics and peculiarities, current stage of RA-EU relations were discussed. Reference was also made to the RA membership to the Eurasian Economic Union, RA possible steps within the Union, present problems and steps to undertake.

The participants had an opportunity to present their suggestions on strengthening the RA’s positions in the Eurasian Economic Union as well as on possible initiatives by the CSOs to raise the productivity of the European integration process.

To note, the project is implemented by the resources of NGO “European Integration.”

Project “Youth platform” is a series of training-discussions for the young professionals (political scientists, international scientists, economists, journalists). This is a specific platform, where young people discuss with experts current and important issues related to Armenia’s foreign policy, gain knowledge about neighboring countries, priority issues of the RA’s foreign policy, international processes, as well as the development of civil society and related topics. In addition group works are being carried out, personal views are being expressed as well as new solutions to old questions are being proposed.
