RA Foreign Minister Reported the President on a Number of Meetings to Be Held at International Organizations
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian reported today to the President of Armenia on the forthcoming activities of the Ministry aimed at Armenia’s active involvement in the works of international organizations, upcoming steps and achievements, including the decision adopted at the 16th Summit of the Francophonie according to which Armenia has assumed chairmanship in this prestigious international structure as well as unequivocal support of the member states of the Organization to a peaceful resolution of the NK problem as it is reflected in the final resolution of the Summit, the press service of the RA Foreign Ministry informs.
The President of Armenia gave instructions to Minister Nalbandian aimed at the organization of the Summit at the highest level and stressed that Armenia’s active engagement in international organizations is very important for building successful foreign relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs reported also on a number of meetings to be held at international organizations with Armenia’s participation such as the meeting of foreign ministers in Vienna on the issues related to nuclear security, Ministerial meeting on the Resolute Support mission in the framework of NATO, Open Governance Partnership summit to be held in Paris, Armenia’s priorities at the meeting of foreign ministers in Hamburg in the framework of OSCE.
The President of Armenia invited the attention of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the instructions to be given to the diplomats at the traditional gathering of the RA Ambassadors to be conveyed in Paris and aimed, in particular, at the consistent and active work in the economic area considering the new program of the government and reforms implemented in our country. Serzh Sargsyan instructed Edward Nalbandian to hold the next ambassadorial meeting in Armenia with the participation of all RA ambassadors. President Sargsyan spoke about his approaches to the works aimed at the invigoration of the “economic” diplomacy.
