Azerbaijan Depreciates Public Diplomacy: Karen Bekaryan
The creation of platform by Azerbaijan with the participation of representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society depreciates and damages public diplomacy. This was declared by the RA NA Deputy, the Chairman of NGO "European Integration" Karen Bekaryan in a press-conference in "Novosti-Armenia" media center.
He also mentioned that this allegedly peace-building initiative on one hand is funny, on the other hand dangerous.
"This also shows that a phase changed. If previously all those having links with Armenians were being arrested, now they invent Armenians with whom they can get in touch and not be imprisoned," the Deputy said.
According to Bekaryan the worst thing is that some figures, from abroad as well, representatives of international organizations, not understanding well what is going on and what is being done, have already given quite good responses.
"We, first of all the representatives of civil society and media, have a task that this process, on one hand receive a proper assessment, on the other hand does not disseminate and work for the Azerbaijani propaganda," Bekaryan said, mentioning also that the attention of the international organizations should be invited on these dangers.
