UN Security Council Will Gather for a Closed Meeting to Discuss the Situation in Syria

TASS recalling the diplomatic source, informs, that the UN Security Council will gather for a closed meeting in the coming hours to discuss the situation in Syria following the announcement of a nationwide ceasefire.
According to the diplomatic source, Russia requested this meeting. It is expected to focus on the ceasefire announced in Syria.
Due to another UN source, probably Russia may suggest adopting a resolution in support of the truce. As news agency reports, the meeting will be held straight after an open session to consider a draft resolution extending certain provisions of the 1995 oil-for-food program for Iraq.
