Only Madman Will Not Be Afraid During War: Tells Hero, Who Destoyed Three Tanks During April War
"Armedia" IAA talked with a participant of April four-day war, hero Rafayel Hovhannisyan, who was serving in Talish.
In an answer to the question what changes he has noticed in the Army after the April war, Rafayel mentioned that both during the war and after it everything was very positive in the Army. "Interpersonal relations became warmer, though both before and after the war those relations were good," he said.
As for what war changed in him, Rafayel said: "If before war I had childish approach towards this or that issue, now I have more mature thinking."
In an answer to the question whether there was any fear during the war, the hero replied quite sincerely: "Only madman will not be afraid during a war. Fear is expressed differently in everyone. During war our thoughts do not reach to our homes, our relatives. At that time you think of the soldiers, your friends standing by you, so as nothing happens to them."
As advantages of the Armenian Army, Rafayel mentioned the combat readiness of the Army and the courage of the boys. "The courage of the boys, the fact that at that age they are ready to everything is enough for having advantage," Rafayel said.
He wished the Armenian soldier good and safe service. "Let them safely return home, the rest they know," he said. Rafayel advised the newly recruited servicemen to master the technology of using weapons.
This advice was not accidental - in a talk with us Rafayel modestly remained silent about his heroism. Rafayel Hovhannisyan is the soldier, who during the battle in Talish in April destroyed three tanks. He was awarded with "Battle Cross" of second degree by the President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
We are grateful to you, our HERO!
