Negotiations over Armenia-EU Framework Agreement Will Be Completed in a Few Days: Ambassador of France to Armenia
Armenia and the European Union (EU) negotiations over framework agreement will be completed in a few days, Ambassador of France to Armenia Jean François Charpentier said, Tert.am reports.
The Armenian and EU leaders have to agree on a number of points, the Ambassador said adding that he is optimistic that both the sides will be satisfied with the agreement.
As for France’s objections to an Armenia-EU agreement, particularly to Armenian cognac and champagne export to European markets, the French diplomat said that France is consistent in dealing with the sale of the brands bearing French place names on European markets.
According to him it is a difficult issue for both France and Armenia because it is of economic importance and it is not only beverages that are in question.
