Senor Hasratyan: Azerbaijan Says Nothing about Where and When one of its Soldiers Had Died

Spokesperson of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan wrote on his Facebook account saying that the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Azerbaijan has again found itself in a difficult situation, News.am reports.

He commented on the Azerbaijan MOD statement, where nothing is said about where and when one of its soldiers had died.

"The propagandists of official Baku are making efforts to mitigate—with various tricks—the consequences of the incurred slap in the directions of Martuni and Akna," Hasratyan wrote. "And, in some sense, they are attempting to present what occurred in no other way but 'a strong counterattack inflicted upon Armenians.'

"However, the effectiveness of these attempts turns to dust when the name of the next [Azerbaijani] 'shehid [i.e. martyr]' becomes known to the public of the neighboring country.

"The Azerbaijan MOD disseminated a communiqué that, allegedly, 'Azerbaijani military serviceman Elvin Suleyman oghlu [i.e. son of] Ahmedov fell heroically during the fierce battles that were waged against the enemy, at the line of contact.' But when, at what time and where did he die? Not a word about this.

"To this day, the adversary has voiced about the casualties it suffered solely in Martuni direction."
