Armenia Will Increase Its Defense Expenditure
Starting from 2018, Armenia plans to increase the expenditure in the defense sphere by 26-27 billion AMD. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Vardan Aramyan noted to the reporters after the discussions on the expenditures for 2018-2020, Novosti Armenia reports.
"In 2020 defense expenditure in Armenia will be 4 percent of GDP," the Minister noted underlining that the decision is conditioned by the necessity to keep balance.
To note, in 2017 the defense expenditure was 226 billion dram or 3.71 of GDP.
