Armenian Commander Killed in Syria

An Armenian man was killed while fighting against the Islamic State in Syria on August 14, news.am reports.
Nubar Ozanyan was fighting together with the Kurdish forces, Kurdish news websites reported. Kurdish and communist parties functioning on the territory of Turkey and Syria issued messages of condolences on his death.
Ozanyan was born in a poor Armenian family in Turkey. In late 80s he joined the military branch of the communist party.
