Israel's Netanyahu Warns Iran: 'Don't Test Our Resolve'
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has held a blistering speech at the Munich Security Conference to warn the world not to try to appease Iran. He accused Tehran of trying to dominate the Middle East, DW reports.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on Sunday told delegates to the Munich Security Conference that immediate action should be taken to curb Iranian aggression in the Middle East, comparing the nuclear deal struck with Iran with failed efforts to appease Germany's Adolf Hitler before the Second World War.
Although conceding that Iran was not equivalent to Nazi Germany, Netanyahu said that the world must take action now to stop the Islamic Republic from expanding its influence in the Middle East.
He said that sanctions relief under the deal had only emboldened the country and "unleashed a dangerous Iranian tiger".
