Economic Potential of Armenia Was Presented to Chinese Mass Media Representatives

Trade Representative of Armenia to China Hrant Abajyan met the representatives of leading Chinese mass media in Beijing today, official page of Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia.

Among the media were Xinhua News agency, China Daily and T. Kung Pao news agency.

Hrant Abajyan answered to the questions of journalists, particularly presenting Armenia's investment and business environment, the country's economic potential and the agenda of the Armenian-Chinese trade-economic relations.

The journalists were interested in the opportunities of Armenia's export, prospects for investors in the free economic zone in Meghri, as well as investment attractiveness, infrastructure, agriculture, industry, information technology, renewable energy, etc.

During the meeting, the sides also touched upon the tourism sector. Trade Representative of Armenia to China Hrant Abajyan represented tourism attraction of Armenia, visa facilitation for Chinese citizens, as well as stated that Armenia was granted the status of "Guaranteed Tourism Country" by the Government of China.

Armenia will take part in the China Trade and Services International Exhibition on May 28 and a presentation titled "Armenia: Gate to Big Markets" will be held.
