Jubilee Evening of National Artist Leonid Harutyunyan Held in Stepanakert
At the initiative of Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism and Shushi’s museum after Mkrtich Khandamiryan, a jubilee evening dedicated to national artist and director Leonid Harutyunyan’s 70th birthday anniversary was held on May 3 in Stepanakert, Artsakhpress reports.
Leonid Harutyunyan told that during the 50 years of his creative labor he has staged 104 plays.
According to Leonid Harutyunyan, Stepanakert dramatic theater is the cultural hearth where his talent and skills have been revealed.
"I believe that today also the audience has reckless love towards theater. We should be able to just satisfy the refined audience of Artsakh with new scenic productions. I think that today the time demands new approaches towards theater," Leonid Harutyunyan said.
The artist added that he has an intention to stage new performances.
At the event, Leonid Harutyunyan was awarded with honorary certificate and certificate of appreciation by Artsakh Writers’ Union and Shushi Town Hall.
