Russian Figure-Skater Evgenya Medvedeva Denies Rumors about Performing under the Armenian Flag

Russian figure-skater Evgeniya Medvedeva, the double silver medalist in ladies' singles at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyongChang, has given up cooperation with her renowned coach Eteri Tutberidze.
On the background of the publication of this news, various Russian media outlets expressed an opinion that Medvedev may change her sporting citizenship and country and perform under Armenian flag as her father, Arman Babasyan, has Armenian origin.
In an interview with Russia Today, Medvedev, however, said that she is not going to change her citizenship and perform for another country, ArmSport reports.
According to the 18-year-old champion, such rumors are spread because people are extremely worried.
