Armenian-Azerbaijani Top-Level Meetings on Karabakh 'Signal Positive Developments': Miroslav Lajčák
The summits held time and again between the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders to discuss the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) signal positive developments in the ongoing peace efforts, the Slovakian foreign minister said today, commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's meeting with the Azerbaijani president (on the sidelines of the 2020 Munich Security Conference), Tert.am reports.
These, from our perspective, are positive developments, as it is really very important for the leaders to meet to discuss possible ways for pushing ahead with a solution,″ Miroslav Lajcak said at a news conference held after private talks with the FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in Yerevan.
He also expresed his country's full trust in the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship format, highlighting the close collaboration with the mission in 2019. Lajcak also promised his the Slovakian government's maximum asistance in the process.
Meantime he appreciated the opportunity of the meeting with Armenia's top diplomat, adding that the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) issue has always been part of their bilateral agenda.
