Secretary General: CSTO Will Provide Necessary Aid, if Armenia Turn to It

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is under constant review of the CSTO, the organization’s general secretary, Stanislav Zas told reporters in Yerevan, News.am reports. 

''If necessary, the CSTO will express its position on this conflict,'' he said. ''This has been done more than once.''

Asked to comment on the incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Stanislav Zas noted if Armenia appeals for help to the CSTO states, the organization as a whole, will express its position and provide the necessary aid. ''But now the Armenian government is independently dealing with these border incidents. We hope that the situation will be stabilized and clashes will be avoided,'' he added.
