President Harutyunyan Got Acquainted with the Process of Capital Reconstruction Activities of the Stepanakert-Askeran Highway
On 20 August Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan got acquainted with the process of capital reconstructionactivities of the Stepanakert-Askeran highway.
The Head of the State, accompanied by Minister of Municipal Engineering Aram Sargsyan and responsible officials of the "Kapavor" LLC that carry out the construction activities, observed the reconstruction process, inquired about the state control over the compliance with the quality standards and the terms of commissioning.
According to the President's instruction, alongside with asphalting activities, the Stepanakert-Askeran highway will be equipped with night-time illumination. "The project is to be launched for the first time and will be of a continuous nature. Our will and desire to build a qualitatively new country are predominant and our goal to turn Artsakh into one of the world's best countries will be brought to life by joint efforts. I believe, this day will come," said the President of the republic.
Arayik Harutyunyan also visited the 18th century historical fortress "Mayraberd", which had a significant defense role both in the past centuries and during the Artsakh war. The President stressed that after the completion of the planned and additional works, it has a great potential of becoming one of the main tourist attractions.
During the visit, the President was accompanied by the head of the Askeran regional administration, mayor of the regional center and other officials.
