Aliyev's Shows Aim to Solve Issues in Three Parallel Dimensions in the Occupied Territories of Artsakh: Karen Bekaryan
Aliyev's political shows in the occupied territories of Artsakh are continuing (recently the leader of Azerbaijan visited occupied Hadrut and Shushi.) Here it is important to understand what is behind them; whether these shows are random or are designed for certain emotions.
In an interview to ''Armedia'' IAA analyst Karen Bekaryan spoke about the reasons, goals and objectives of such a policy of Baku, about the joys and fears of Aliyev, also touched upon the internal political processes in the Republic of Armenia.
"After the trilateral Statement signed on November 10, Aliyev cannot recover from surprise and happiness - after all, he couldn’t even dream of such development of events. At the same time, he is tormented with fears - as Aliyev understands that such a situation cannot be stable and long-lasting. Added to this is the surprise that the Armenian authorities who signed the Statement still continue to rule. I am sure that this surprise is shared by many international players as well.
What tasks does Aliyev solve by holding such shows in Hadrut and Shushi? These tasks can be divided into three parallel dimensions. The first is psychological: in this way he tries to fight against his own complexes, the complexes of the Azerbaijani people, and at the same time he tries to make us, Armenians, suffer from complexes.
The second direction is political: Aliyev understands that he will not be able to "digest" the occupation of the territories of Karabakh at the political level and is trying to create a political dividend and a new political agenda - like, our people are so inspired that it is impossible to talk about compromises or about the return of these territories. And, finally, the third direction is informational: Aliyev is trying to consolidate his position on international information platforms and capitalize this short-term, temporary result for his long-term goals, "said Karen Bekaryan.
