Azerbaijan Will Dictate Its Terms in all Directions, Until There Is No Tough Resistance from the Armenian Side
Recently Azerbaijan has once again not allowed the entrance of the Armenian pilgrims to Dadivank. Ignoring the previously reached agreement with the Russian Peacekeeping Forces, the Azerbaijani side refused to implement its own obligation, and the Armenian Apostolic Church was unable to make the previously announced ceremony in Dadivank. ''Obviously, all this has a clear aim - to show that he is the one and only side that makes decisions on all issues related to the territory of Artsakh, that is to say, he is the actual ''owner'' of Artsakh'', said Chairperson of the European Integration NGO Naira Karapetyan in an interview with ''Armedia'' IAA.
Our interlocutor believes that Azerbaijan will not limit itself only to the destruction of the Armenian cultural heritage. According to her our historical and cultural monuments, churches and shrines will either be transformed in such a way as to completely erase the evidence of their Armenian identity, or they will be physically destroyed, but Azerbaijan will not stop there.
''Analyzing clearly planned and targeted actions of Azerbaijan, as well as taking into account the public statements and content in the open media resources, we come to the conclusion that Azerbaijan will make attempts to establish a dominant position in all spheres and in all directions, until it receives a tough rebuff from the Armenian side. It is logical that Azerbaijan considers that the authorities, who signed the document, which presupposes the actual surrender, cannot oppose the winner'', Naira Karapetyan added.
According to her, the example of Dadivank is a proof that Azerbaijan will try to make its way forward as far as it is allowed. To rectify the situation and obtain the protection of our interests both in religious and in all other issues, we need new negotiators from Armenia and Artsakh- we need new and strong governments.
