EU ambassador visits Syunik Province

On 25 May, within the framework of the Europe Day 2022 celebrations in Goris, EU Ambassador attended visited Goris Medical Center. Modern X-ray equipment is donated to Goris Medical Center as a part of a larger assistance package provided by the EU to help boost the COVID-19 response in Armenia.

The new X-ray units facilitate monitoring of a patient’s progress and improve clinical decision-making. Under the EU Solidarity for Health project, the Goris Medical Center has been among the recipient hospitals and has been supplied with 1 electrocardiogram machine and 3 oxygen concentrators, which helped hundreds of patients recover from severe illnesses caused by COVID-19.

Ambassadors from EU member states joined the event. The guests also visited the vaccination site at Goris policlinics, where they met 65+ people being provided with medical advice and getting vaccinated within the EU-funded ‘Vaccination is caring’ campaign.
