China Against Sanctions on Russia
China opposes sanctions and the threat of their use for the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine. This was declared by China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei, TASS reports.
"As for Ukraine, we have repeatedly expressed our position on the sanctions and threats of their implementation. We believe that the resolution of the crisis in Ukraine is possible only through dialogue and consultation."
This is how Hong Lei commented on a number of statements about anti-Russian sanctions made by the leaders of the Group of Seven on the eve and on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Germany.
