A Set-In Protest Against Electricity Tariff Rise

Today, on July 27, on the Republic Square in Yerevan a sit-in protest against the electricity tariff raise will be held, Radio Azatutyun reports.

The protest will at 6 p.m.The organizers mention that the protest will be held in accordance with Article 24 of the law on "Freedom of Assembly."

"The civil movement "Stand, Armenia!" took into consideration the statement by the Head of Information and Public Relations of the Armenian Police Ashot Aharonian, which implies that the police will henceforth refrain from actions that unduly restricts the right to freedom of assembly,"  the statement of the movement said.
