Georgia and Iran to Lift Visa Regime

A telephone conversation between the Georgian Prime Minister and the President of Iran took place, the administration of Georgia’s government informs, apsny.ge reports.

"Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Hassan Rouhani spoke about the close cultural relations between the Georgian and Iranian peoples. They expressed hope to deepen cooperation in the field of tourism. It was noted that in this regard the Georgian side will take concrete steps that will be expressed in the abolition of visa regime.

The sides also talked about the processes in the region and highlighted the importance of international security for the development of the region," the Georgian government administration said.
