The Armenian Delegation Seriously Prepares for the PACE Spring Session
On the first day of the PACE spring session on April 18, a discussion under the topic "The latest tragic escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict" is going to take place. "Armedia" IAA has talked with a member of the Armenian delegation to PACE, RA MP Naira Zohrabyann on the possible accents of the upcoming discussion.
- Ms. Zohrabyan, what accents do you expect during the upcoming discussions in PACE and who is the initiator of these discussions?
-It’s difficult to say with what accents the discussion will go on, as this issue is included on the agenda with urgent and/or actual debate format. On Monday, April 18, it will become known who will present the draft report. We know who the initiator of this discussion is, but we are not authorized to voice it. Of course, we will present our point of views, our position during that discussion, which will be held in PACE.
- Do you expect any Armenian initiative during the PACE spring session regarding Azerbaijani aggression against NKR?
-The Armenian delegation is seriously preparing for the PACE spring session. The delegation actively cooperates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with our partners from the Parliament of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. We're going to the session with a certain strategy, and you can be sure, the military operations that took place at the beginning of April in Karabakh will be submitted to all international organizations, including PACE, with all details.
All our colleagues from PACE and the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe have already received all of the materials that confirm Azerbaijani war crimes.
We do not wait for the start of the session. All MP's in PACE and in European Parliament are already informed of what happened. We have already sent them the materials with proofs. The truth is so obvious that we do not expect any surprises during the upcoming PACE session.
