Trump VS Clinton: the Struggle Continues

Republican front-runner Donald Trump is still in pursuit of his party's nomination, but he has some thoughts about how the GOP convention should go, saying in an interview he wants to "put some showbiz" into the proceedings.

"It's very important to put some showbiz into a convention, otherwise people are going to fall asleep," the former reality TV star said. "We don't have the people who know how to put showbiz into a convention," CNN reports.

Meanwhile the Democrat Clinton already does have her supporters among the show business representatives. The most vivid ones among them are the Clooney spouses, the Holliwood actor George Clooney with his beautiful wife, human rights solicitor Amal Clooney. These two and many other showbiz supporters already take part in some of Clinton’s electoral campaigns, giving speeches and calling on their fans to vote for Hillary.

In the most recent survey, 41 percent of likely voters supported Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, and 40 percent backed Trump, with 19 percent not decided on either yet, according to the online poll of 1,289 people conducted from Friday to Tuesday. The poll had a credibility interval of about 3 percentage points.

The results reflect a big increase in support for Trump since he knocked out U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Ohio Governor John Kasich last week to become the last Republican in the White House race.

Trump and Clinton both have much to prove to the American electorate. The Reuters/Ipsos poll found earlier this month that a majority of voters did not trust either candidate with key presidential responsibilities such as managing the U.S. economy, handling the role of U.S. commander in chief, and conducting themselves according to a "high moral standard."
