Aliyev and Putin Discussed Karabakh

Russian President Vladimir Putin speaking at the meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev noted that Russia will strive for Azerbaijan and Armenia to find a compromised and mutually appropriate resolution of Karabakh conflict for both parties, RIA reports.
"You have mentioned Karabakh. This is a real problem we've got from our Soviet past. I know how acute this issue is for Azerbaijan and for Armenia. We will strive for one thing, for Armenia and Azerbaijan to find the compromised solution, which would be appropriate for both parties.
So that there would be no winners, but the winners would be the peoples of the two countries, and both countries would feel that they have resolved this complex issue for the sake of the present and future generations," Putin said.
