NKR Defense Army Soldier Killed
According to operative data, on the night of December 8 on NKR-Azerbaijan border the Azerbaijani armed forces have continued to violate the ceasefire (about 40 times), the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense informs.
During this period, the adversary fired over 500 shots with automatic weapons of various calibers and sniper rifles in the direction of the Armenian positions.
Advanced units of the NKR Defense Army responded to the offensive of Azerbaijani Armed Forces in case of emergency, continuing to steadily carry out their combat mission over the entire length of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani border.
During the night an incident occurred. On December 8, at about 2:45 a.m., on the defensive part of one of the military units of the NKR Defense Army, stationed in the north-east of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani border (Martakert), with yet unknown circumstances Albert Postolokyan (born in 1996) received a fatal gunshot.
Investigation is underway to determine the details of the incident.
The NKR Defense Ministry shares the pain of the loss and expresses its support for the family members, relatives and colleagues of the serviceman.
