Karen Bekaryan: April War Should Have Been a Good Lesson for the Mediators
In April we had victims, wounded, it was a real war, which, besides being a human tragedy, also had its implications on the whole process, also on the negotiations. This was declared by the RA NA Deputy, the Chairman of NGO "European Integration" Karen Bekaryan in a press-conference in "Novosti-Armenia" media center.
"Both at official and at expert’s level it has many times been said that the actions of Azerbaijan, not receiving an adequate response, when passing from one step to other create a sense and an atmosphere of impunity, which at some point can go beyond the limits. We witnessed it in April. Azerbaijan initiated a well-planned military action, a war, tried also to use the factor of unexpectedness for having advantage," – Bekaryan mentioned.
According to him the fact that Azerbaijan’s plans failed is one side of the issue, another side is that anyway it resorted to military actions.
"I think that this should have been a good lesson for the international community and the mediators as well," he added.
