NKR Defense Army: Increase of Border Tension Recorded

According to operative data, on the night of February 8 on NKR-Azerbaijan border an increase of border tension was recorded, the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense informs.
The opponent with 85-mm guns D-44, 60-and 82-millimeter mortars and small arms has violated the ceasefire regime over 80 times. Azerbaijani armed forces fired in the direction of Armenian positions more than 850 shots.
The most intensive ceasefire violations were observed in the eastern and north-eastern areas of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani border. In this part the Azerbaijani Armed Forces from 85-mm guns and mortars fired a total of 47 rounds.
The advanced units of the Defense Army suppressed the opponent's offensive activity resorting to retaliatory action and continued to confidently perform their combat mission.
