NKR Defense Army: Azerbaijani Armed Forces Used 82-mm and 120-mm Mortars

According to operative data, on the night of May 17, on NKR-Azerbaijan border the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the ceasefire regime about 60 times from small arms of various calibers, the press service of the Artsakh Republic Defense Ministry reports.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired more than 900 shots in the direction of the Armenian positions.

On the eastern side of the border, in addition to small arms, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces also used 82-mm (4 rounds) and 120-mm mortars (17 rounds), and in the northeast direction of the border - 60 mm (4 rounds) and 82 mm mortars (15 rounds), as well as an anti-tank grenade launcher (5 rounds).

To suppress the offensive activity of the opponent, the advanced units of the Defense Army resorted to retaliatory actions and continued to carry a confident defense of combat positions.

At present, the operational situation on the front line is relatively calm.
