NATO Urges Germany and Turkey to Agree on Its Konya Airbase
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed his concern over the decision of the Turkish authorities banning German MPs from visiting the NATO military base in Konya, where the German troops are located.
"We hope that Germany and Turkey will be able to agree on the date of a visit'', NATO representative told the journalists, according to INTERFAX.
NATO's concern is connected with the possible withdrawal of German troops from the Konya base, which could affect the level of support of the international coalition on fight against the ISIS.
