Borut Pahor Becomes Re-elected President of Slovenia

In the presidential elections in Slovenia, the victory was held by the incumbent head of state Borut Pahor. Previously, in the second round, he got about 53% of the vote, TVC reports.
The final turnout was almost 42%. Pahor, announcing his victory, thanked the voters for their confidence, and his competitors for substantive criticism.
The Slovenian leader said that his main task remains "to support political stability in a complex and unpredictable situation in Europe and the world as a whole."
According to the constitution, he is deprived of the right to independently dismiss the government and dissolve the parliament. Inauguration of Borut Pahor is scheduled for the end of December.
