Israel Does not Recognize the Armenian Genocide because of Azerbaijan: Israeli Defense Minister
"Israel does not recognize the Armenian Genocide because of Azerbaijan'', Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in an interview with Russian television channel RTV1, Akunq.net reports, referring to Turkish "Yeni Cag".
Lieberman, answering the question of the reporter over the fact that "some international organizations call on Israel to recognize the Armenian Genocide to exert pressure on Turkey, in particular, said: "It is, first and foremost, a historical and controversial issue. Israel's position on the Armenian Genocide issue is decisive."
Lieberman also said that the recognition of the Armenian Genocide is directly related to the good relations with Azerbaijan. "Certainly, relations with Azerbaijan are much more important for us."
