Chinese City of Shenyang and Yerevan Discuss Cooperation
The issues related to possible cooperation between Yerevan and the city of Shenyang (China) were discussed during the meeting in the City Hall, official page of Yerevan Municipality reports.
The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Foreign Relations David Gevorgyan, the head of Development and Investment Programs Department Tigran Sargsyan, the Secretary of the Shenyang branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Liang and the leading staff of the free trade zone of Shenyang took part in the meeting.
Greeting the guests David Gevorgyan outlined that the Municipality attaches importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with international partner organizations in various spheres of urban economy.
The head of Development and Investment Programs Department Tigran Sargsyan in his turn presenting the main directions of Yerevan development programs and general investment policy stressed that the city authorities are open and willing to discuss and support within their powers in the implementation of investment programs. During the meeting the guests were introduced nearly 50 investment projects worked out by the Municipality which give the wide possibilities for business ties establishment and development. Besides, it was noted that Yerevan being a rapidly developing city in electronic management field pays special development to using new technologies. The members of Chinese delegation expressed gratitude for the meeting as well as for cooperation willingness and stressed that Yerevan has n attractive investment field for them and they are interested in the implementation of a number of investment projects.
