Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan Met With the Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia
On January 31, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with Lila Pieters Yahia, Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia.
During the meeting, the Secretary of the Security Council presented the agenda of the ongoing reforms in Armenia, particularly the agenda of the reforms of the security system, democratic institutions, and the steps aimed at strengthening the rule of law. In this context, Lila Pieters Yahia welcomed and praised the continuity of the reform process.
The interlocutors exchanged views on regional security; moreover, the issues related to the Armenia-UN cooperation agenda were also discussed. The parties reaffirmed their mutual readiness to realize the potential of cooperation fully.
