Turkey, Venezuela to Discuss With Russia Hopes For Cooperation in Payment Systems
Roscongress announced that it has started a joint discussion with Turkey and Venezuela on the development of payment systems, The News Dept reports.
Future interaction possibilities will be discussed by the Russian side with experts from the central banks of the partner states. Such a meeting is currently held in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
''REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CENTRAL BANKS OF VENEZUELA AND TURKEY WILL DISCUSS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF PAYMENT SYSTEMS WITH THE RUSSIAN SIDE,'' THE STATEMENT SAID.
Some foreign payment systems, including companies such as Western Union, have previously suspended their work in the Russian market.
The head of the Federal Tourism Agency, Zarina Doğuzova, previously confirmed that by the end of this year it is planned to pay with the Mir card in the main popular resorts for Russians. According to FederalPress, almost all hotels in Turkey have already started to accept these cards.
