Case of High Treason by Armenia Soldier is Revealed
As a result of the measures taken by the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, it was found that an Armenia citizen, being a servicemen, possessed information constituting a state and service secret, the NSS informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
This person got acquainted—through social media—with a representative of foreign special services, and was recruited by him.
In this way, this Armenian serviceman committed high treason—in the form of espionage—to the detriment of Armenia's territorial integrity and external security, in exchange for which he received money through bank transfers.
The aforementioned Armenian citizen was detained within the framework of the criminal case opened at the NSS on high treason, and he confessed.
After that, he was charges, and has been remanded in custody.
