Quake jolts Iran, also felt in Armenia
On October 10 at 16:37 local time (at 12:37 by GMT), the Seismological Network of the Regional Survey for Seismic Protection of the MES of the RA recorded an earthquake at the northern latitude 38.5⁰ and eastern longitude 45.25⁰ geographic coordinates (24 km southwest from the city of Khoy, Iran), with 4.8 magnitude and 10 km depth.
The tremor measured magnitude 6-7 points at the epicenter area.
The earthquake was felt in the towns of Kapan and Meghri in Syunik Province with 2-3 points intensity.
