PACE President calls on Armenia, Azerbaijan to redouble efforts to resolve conflict
The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to redouble efforts towards a solution to their conflict, NEWS.am reports.
Speaking at the PACE plenary session, Tiny Kox noted that many important issues in Europe require serious attention.
One of them is the recent escalation of military actions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which has led to new casualties on both sides, he said.
Kox called on both countries to redouble their efforts towards a peaceful and stable solution to the conflict that negatively affects the lives of millions of people in the South Caucasus.
Also, the PACE President called on the Armenian and Azerbaijani parliamentarians to use the PACE session as an opportunity to discuss the most complicated issues in order to create a dialogue and try to overcome differences.
