China opposes exclusion of Russia from G20
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, opening a meeting with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the G20 summit, that China is opposed to Russia’s removal from the work of the G20 and other international forums and platforms, GD reports.
''We support Russia’s worthy role within the G20 and other international forums, and we believe that no one has the right to take away Russia’s rational right to participate in multilateral formats,'' the Chinese foreign minister said.
Wang Yi also noted that during the meeting he plans to discuss with Sergey Lavrov, among other things, ''cooperation to maintain the sustainable dynamics of bilateral relations.''
