EU’s Toivo Klaar meets Armenian Defense Minister, expresses concern over situation around Lachin Corridor
Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan held a meeting with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar on January 23, Armenpress reports.
“Toivo Klaar expressed his concerns regarding the situation around Lachin Corridor. We discussed the latest regional developments. We expressed hope that a decision will be made at the EU foreign ministerial committee session on carrying out a new EU civilian monitoring mission in territory of Armenia,” Minister Papikyan said on social media.
The Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin also participated in the meeting.
