Direct flights between Yerevan and Sofia to be launched on April 29
Direct flights between Sofia and Yerevan will be launched as of April 29, BTA reported citing a statement from the Sofia airport on Monday.
Tickets are already on sale by operator Wizz Air. Until mid-June flights will be operated on Wednesday and Sunday and after June 12 on Tuesday and Saturday.
Yerevan is one of the destinations outbound from Sofia after Wizz Air stationed a seventh aircraft at the Sofia airport at the end of 2022. This paved the way for new destinations such as Stockholm, Hamburg and Riyadh and increasing flights on 11 exiting routes from and to Sofia.
"The expansion of the flight network is important for us, because it develops not only the airport and the air companies and it helps directly the local business to grow. We believe that our excellent partnership with Wizz Air ", BTA quoted Sofia Airport CEO Jesus Caballero as saying of the new air service.
