In 2015 Egypt Intends to Complete the Implementation of the "Road Map"

Egypt is officially preparing for the parliamentary elections. On January 8 the Supreme Election Committee announced that the elections will be held with 2 phases. The first one will take place on March 21-23, and the second one on April 25-27, reports WSMV.com. The parliamentary elections will become the last stage of the "road map" for overcoming the political crisis. It should be noted that the "road map" was approved in June 2013, after Mohammed Morsi, the representative of "Muslim Brothers" was overthrown. The first two stages of the "road map" were the adoption of the Constitution and holding the presidential elections.

The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi after being elected for the first time has met the heads of 15 political parties of Egypt. He has stressed that he intends to be neutral during the campaign of the parliamentary elections. However, he has also mentioned that the best option would be that all political parties could form a coalition. As newsru.co.il reports, Salafi "An-Nur" party, which is the only Islamic power permitted in the country, has expressed its support for this idea.

It should be noted that the Egyptian Criminal Court has annulled the decision of the court on Hosni Mubarak and his two sons, according to which the ex-president of Egypt and his sons were sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Mubarak’s lawyer has announced that he will soon be released. Thus there is a danger that this news will lead to the activation of anti-government demonstrations.

On the other side, the world does not stop facing the problem of terrorism. In the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula clashes between the security forces and different armed groups continue.
