Some EU Countries for Lifting the Sanctions on Russia

Seven EU countries - Austria, Hungary, Italy, Cyprus, Slovakia, France and the Czech Republic have expressed their support for lifting Western sanctions on Russia, Itar-Tass reports referring to a diplomatic source in Brussels.

As newstwenty4seven.com informs, during the meeting of the EU foreign Ministers that is planned on January 19, no decision concerning the sanctions against Russia will be made and it will be left in the meeting in March. Diplomats claim that the tone of this problem that will be discussed should be softened. “Ministers will most likely be preparing the ground for softening the sanctions regime. Perhaps the time has come,” said the diplomat, reports Tass.
