"If God interferes into politics, then democracy is in danger": the editor in chief of the Charlie Hebdo
The editor in chief of the French journal "Charlie Hebdo" explained in an interview with BBC, that the publication does not attack religion, if it stays away from politics, reports vesti.ru.
"We are not attacking religion. We are doing this only in the case when it becomes mixed with politics. If God interferes into politics, then democracy is in danger", - said Gerard Biard.
It should be reminded that among the staff of Charlie Hebdo editorial there are atheists and concerning this Biard said: "Being faithful - is a personal choice, but it is no one else's business. We respect that. Similarly, we respect the privacy of the person as long as he does not make it available to the public," - said the editor in chief.
