Russia Should Become an EU Member Country: Poroshenko

The president of Ukraine thinks that Russia should become a member of the European Union, for building a new system of world security, reports rosbalt.ru.

"Does Europe see itself strong enough in 10-12 years to face the challenges? Will Europe become better off with the Ukrainian potential? We should understand that Ukraine’s desire to join the EU is not against Russia. Frankly speaking, I think that Russia as well should become a member of the EU. In this way a completely new world security system will be formed", - said Poroshenko during his speech at the University of Zurich.

According to Poroshenko, in the future Ukraine will stop being a "buffer zone" and will become a part of the European Union.
