Obama Asks Congress to Authorize the Use of Military Force Against ISIS

The US President Barack Obama in his annual speech addressed the Congress asking for the authorization to use military force against the "Islamic State". Obama reminded that the coalition headed by the US tries to stop the actions of the IS in Syria and Iraq, reports Vedomosti.ru.

"I call Congress to show the world that we are together in that mission and ratify the resolution that will allow the use of force against ISIS," – said Barack Obama.

Speaking about the sanctions on Iran Obama said: "There are no guarantees that negotiations will succeed, and I keep all options on the table to prevent a nuclear Iran. But new sanctions passed by this Congress, at this moment, will all but guarantee that diplomacy fails", - reports CNN.
