Poroshenko: We are Far From Peace
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko declared that the agreement reached in Minsk gives a hope for political settlement of the conflict in Donbass, RIA Novosti reports. However, Poroshenko also added that he is not sure that this agreement will be implemented.
"I do not want anyone to have illusions and I do not want to seem naive – we are far from peace. There is no firm believe that the terms for peace signed in Minsk will be strongly carried out," – said Poroshenko.
The main achievement he called the negotiations that were not in the framework of the contact group, but among the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine, without mediators.
