Vladimir Dzhabarov: the President of Armenia Calls Turkey to Step Up
The Deputy Chairman of the International Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Vladimir Dzhabarov referring to recalling the Armenian-Turkish Protocols from the National Assembly of Armenia by President Serzh Sargsyan, said that this step will not deteriorate the relations between the two countries, news.am reports.
In a talk with RIA Novosti, the Deputy Chairman added that with this the Official Yerevan expects steps from Ankara for the settlement of diplomatic relations. "This is not a deterioration of the relations. There are no prerequisites for the deterioration of the relations between the two countries. This was the statement of the fact. The President of Armenia calls Turkey to step up," – Dzhabarov said.
According to the Russian official Armenia wants the Turkish side to be more actively engaged in the process of restoring the diplomatic relations and that the Turkish-Armenian dialogue continues. "They need to meet and discuss the further steps," – said he.
