Elections in Poland

The polls are open in Poland, the first round of presidential elections is ongoing, BBC reports.

According to the opinion polls the current President Bronislaw Komorowski has highest chances to win in the elections.  35 percent of the voters are to vote for him, according to the opinion poll results.

His main challenger is Andrzej Duda, from the right-wing opposition Law and Justice party, which is led by former President Kaczynski's twin brother, Jaroslaw. His is to gain 27 percent of voices.

Rock musician Pawel Kukiz is the third one, 15 percents of the voters claimed to give their voice to him.

In case neither of the candidates win 50 percent of voice, second round of election will be held on May 24, 2015.
