Russia Bans Buffalo Meat Import from India
Russian Federation will limit the supply of buffalo meat from India starting from June 22 as many cases of foot and mouth diseases have been found in India. The cases are recorded in northern part of India in Uttar Pradesh state, Sputnik News reports.
There are four companies that are importing buffalo meat to Russia and three of them are located in Uttar Pradesh. The Minister of Agriculture of Russia announced that the country is able to reimburse at least 90 percent of food imports with domestic products for the next few years.
